After the European championships in Biella, Rick, Janine and myself travelled to Lazzate in Italy to train with Paolo Patrizi and the Spanish trials Team. Unfortunately I was unable to train due to my ankle injury and was only able to spectate, something I am not great at! We then travelled to Thun in Switzerland for a few days rest before the next competition in Champvent, to compete in the World Cup. The sections looked great and the crowds were enormous! The weather couldn’t have been better which really helped. Unfortunately, with my ankle I was unable to ride to my usual ability and plaed 16th. But I still really enjoyed the event. Also Rick placed 8th and Janine just missed the podium to finish in 4th.

Tim Wills recently did a show for Kenton fun day. The crowds were great and Tim did a fantastic job to entertain the crowds with his spectacular trials skills.
So after travelling to Holland to Train with Rick Koekoek, then driving through Germany to Aachen to pick up Janine Jungfels we arrived in Italy. Janine is Travelling with us for the UCI world rounds through 2011 and we are hoping for some good results. Italy wasn’t my day, placing 9th overall. After having some pain through the competition I had my ankle x-rayed on Sunday to find out what was wrong. They found a stress fracture. So it looks like this season may not be as good as I had hoped, but I will continue to compete as best I can and rest inbetween. Rick had a great ride to place 4th in 20” Elite and Janine placed 2nd, although is not on the official results due to being Australian! Great competition though, despite the heavy rain!
Andrei had a great day of shows at the Bideford Fun run with the guys from Children’s Hospice South West. They had a great crowd and fantastic weather and raised loads of money for the Children’s Hospice.
